IGFA Tournament 130 Series Offshore Rods

Our FLK IGFA Tournament Series Big Game 130lbs class offshore rods were designed by giant bluefin tuna fishermen in New England and conform to all the current IGFA specifications. 

 

Each rod is constructed from the highest quality materials.  When we were designing these rods we were looking for the right combination of strength and bend.  These custom rods, start with a hybrid “fiberglass-carbon” blend giving the rod the right amount of strength and flex needed to fight and conquer the power of these Giant Bluefin Tuna.  We have purposely created a rod length of 7’-2” to be sure that the line stays far enough away from the boat, when a tuna dives deep.

 

The rods come with a detachable aerospace grade aluminum bent butt and seven custom designed 316 stainless steel ball bearing big foot guides.   The fore grip is made from “X-pattern” compressed/dense foam to deliver superior grip without any slip. These rods are proven to not break or fatigue.  We have tested them successfully landing Bluefin Tuna over 600 pound.
